Thus, I drifted downward with the current

in a single harmony,

and then suddenly―

she appeared upon a bridge

like a fallen angel.

Her gaze cast me down,

and I shuddered.

Never had I seen such a gaze,

so full of torment

so full of infinite love.

At once, a will rose within me

to rush toward her,

to fall into her arms,

to embrace her,

and become one with her pain,

to extinguish it,

to erase it forever from her memory.

So that only love would remain,

and we would carry it together,

united, into infinity.
